English Language Activities - Enriching the Linguistic Environment

CSKM School has a well equipped Language Lab with Internet Access. The School uses some of the best ELT resources in the world - BBC Multimedia 5 Language Learning Course, Cambridge, Oxford, CIEFL and British Council teaching materials.

Creative expression finds enjoyable outlets in poetry workshops, debates, declamations, writing for the media, language games, storytelling and story writing. Love for books and love for literature is inculcated through regular visits to the British Council Library, book exhibitions, extended reading facilities and flexible reading groups. We organize the Annual Lady Aruna Prasad Memorial Poetry Competition to give staff and students an opportunity to develop their talents in poetic expression.

The Helen O'Grady Drama and Speech course is part of the curriculum in CSKM.The aim of this on-going programme is to develop self-confidence in students and to develop their communication skills through drama... making every child a winner!

Caring for the Environment

Concern for the environment is expressed through regular tree plantation activities, cleanliness drives, SUPW and recycling activities, chalk making and candle making. Environmental awareness is also created through essay writing, debates, speeches and quiz competitions and observing Earth Hour. Only natural colours are used during Holi and Diwali is enjoyed without crackers.
